At little green footballs and the CNN website a debate is raging regarding alleged false CPR in a CNN video from Gaza. The doctor assisting the palestinian medic is norwegian Mads Gilbert working on behalf of aid organisation NORWAC.
Mads Gilbert has featured in swedish newspapers about his work in Gaza. He claimed that he was ”wading in blood” in the hospital. Swedish newspapers did not tell their readers about Mads Gilbert’s political views.
The Wikipedia page about Mads Gilbert contains interesting information. He is an outspoken communist, member of norwegian communist party Rød Valgallianse. In the norwegian paper Dagbladet Mads Gilbert spoke about his views on the 9/11 attacks.
If the U.S. government has a legitimate right to bomb and kill civilians in Iraq, they have also suppressed a moral right to attack the United States with the weapons they had to create. Dead civilians is the same whether they are Americans, Palestinians or Iraqis. ”On the direct question whether he supported the terrorist attacks on the United States, Gilbert said:” Terror is a bad weapon, but the answer is yes, within the context I have mentioned. ”
In Swedish newspaper Aftonbladet, Mads Gilbert’s norwegian colleague Erik Fosse reported about his work in Gaza:
Two Norwegian doctors have worked hard for seven days to save lives in Gaza. But to report to the outside world about what is happening in the war assessing the more important. – Our witness function and to convey what is actually happening have been more important, ”says the doctor Erik Fosse to VG Nett.
In Sweden’s biggest morning newspaper, columnist Lisa Bjurwald stated that NORWAC cooperates with Hamas’ Martyr Foundation:
GILBERT AND HIS medical colleague Erik Fosse seconded by the Norwegian aid organization NORWAC, for which Fosse is boss. NORWAC’s partners include Hezbollah’s Martyr Foundation, which collects and distributes money to suicide bomber’s families.

The best way to help the civilian population is to say no to Hamas and Hezbollah. They are the source of this conflict. If they would lay down their weapons and protest against Israel with non-violence they would win peace in one second. But they prefer illegitimate attacks on innocent civilians.
Yes, Hamas has chosen the way of violence and Israel has no choice but to meet them with violence. Israel wanted to prolong the cease-fire but Hamas chose to reject the proposal and increase their attacks. Israel must answer with military force or see their country slowly being destroyed by Hamas missilies.
